Deleting Your Data
Last updated: August 2026
You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you. You do not have to give a reason, it costs nothing, and refusing to explain yourself will not be held against you. This page says exactly how to ask, what disappears, what we are obliged to keep, and how long it takes.
How to Ask
Send us a request through any of these. Write "delete my data" and, so that we can find you, the phone number or email address you used when you contacted us.
- Email: info@d8wrap.com
- WhatsApp: +351 91 097 097 8
- Phone: +351 91 097 097 8
We may ask one question to confirm the request really comes from you — for example, to reply from the address or number the request concerns. We do this so that nobody can erase somebody else's history, and we ask for nothing more than is needed to be sure.
What Gets Deleted
On a deletion request we erase, from our own systems:
- Your name, telephone number and email address.
- The WhatsApp conversation you had with us, including anything you sent in it, and any notes we made about it.
- Recordings of telephone calls with you and their transcripts.
- Your enquiries and bookings, the message text, and the vehicle details you gave us.
- Your IP address, approximate location and the advertising click identifiers stored with the enquiry — after which the value of any work is no longer reported to advertising platforms.
What can remain is a record with no person attached to it: that a job of some type happened on some date, for our own statistics. It cannot be traced back to you.
What We Have to Keep
If we have invoiced you, Portuguese tax law obliges us to keep the invoice and the accounting records around it for ten years. We cannot delete those, and neither can you — but they are used for nothing except the legal obligation itself. Everything else described above still goes.
How Long It Takes
We answer within 30 days, as the GDPR requires, and in practice much sooner. You get written confirmation of what was deleted. If for some reason we cannot delete something, we will tell you which item and on what legal ground.
Your WhatsApp Copy
A WhatsApp conversation exists in two places: on our side and on Meta's. We delete our copy. The copy held by WhatsApp itself, and the one on your own phone, are outside our control — those you manage in WhatsApp, or by writing to Meta directly. The same applies to a message you sent us: deleting it in WhatsApp does not remove it from our records, so send us the request as well.
Your Other Rights
Besides deletion you may ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, restrict how it is used, or object to it being used at all. The same contacts work for any of these. You may also complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.
