A well-cared-for vinyl wrap lasts for years and stays like new. The good news: maintenance is simple. Here are the rules we give every client.
How to wash a wrapped car
- Wash by hand or with a soft-touch roller — avoid harsh brush machines.
- Use a pH-neutral shampoo and a clean microfibre mitt.
- Dry with a microfibre towel to avoid water spots.
What to avoid
- Abrasive, solvent-based products or petroleum waxes.
- High-pressure jets very close to the vinyl edges.
- Letting bird droppings, sap or insects dry — remove them right away with warm water.
Extra care for matte and chrome
Matte and chrome finishes should not be waxed or polished — that alters the effect. Just wash and dry properly.
Parking and sun
Whenever possible, park in the shade. Prolonged sun exposure is the main wear factor for any vinyl.
Professional maintenance
Once a year, a check at the studio helps fix small edges and extend the life of the wrap. Combine it with a detailing to keep the car flawless.
