Myth 1: "the vinyl pulls the paint off when removed"
False. A quality vinyl wrap is reversible: it comes off with controlled heat, leaving no residue and not lifting the factory paint. In fact, the wrapped area is often better preserved than the rest of the car.
Myth 2: "it damages the paint underneath"
On the contrary — vinyl protects the paint from UV, minor scratches and dirt. That's why it helps keep the car's value.
When problems can happen
- Already-damaged paint — if there's flaking paint or a bad respray, the vinyl can lift it on removal. That's why we always assess the paint first.
- Amateur application — cheap or poorly applied vinyl leaves bubbles and glue. The difference is in the material and the installer's hands.
